Splatter

Had an idea, figured I'd get it drawn up. Nothing much to say about it...

...yet?

The Crow

The last of the 10 free warm-ups is here, and it's The Crow. I absolutely love the movie (not the series), and I've been wanting to read the book, but haven't gotten around to it yet.

Decided to give him an all-black pigeon for company, because why not?

Thanks to all the deviants who asked for warm-ups, and to all those who just missed the cut. I'm sure I'll do this again soon, so keep an eye out on my dA account.

Terrax

Second to last warm-up for the dAers. This guy's name is Terrax. He's a Marvel character, or so I'm told. Never heard of him myself, and boy does he have a weird design. Sort of reminds me of Apocalypse's younger, less cooler brother...if he had one.

Only one more to go!

Beebee

Here's Beebee, a hot-to-trot big-boobied bee girl. She is the property of the lovely skullpunk666satan (more lovely than the name implies, I promise you). Been wanting to draw her characters for sometime, and you can bet yer butt this won't be the last.

Only two left!

Battle Walrus

Another warm-up for the folks at dA. This one is of a Battle Walrus. Was told to go crazy. Thought it would be cool to see a walrus wearing chain mail. Woot!

The Omen Kid

Hey, it's the kid from The Omen, and it's another warm-up sketch. Dig it.

The Tick

Warm-up sketch 5. He's the Tick. SPOOOOON!

Charlie from "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia"

Warm-up sketch 4 for folks on dA. This one is Charlie from the tv show, "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia." I've never seen the show, but I'm told it's hilarious.

The Princess Bride

Another free warm-up sketch, this time of Vizzini, Fezzik, and Inigo Montoya from The Princess Bride. One of my favorite movies.

Wallace Shawn is a difficult little bastard to nail down. I like how Inigo came out, though.

Captain Marvel

Captain Marvel, in all his cheesy glory! This is another free warm-up sketch for the folks at dA.

60's Era Robin

Recently posted a journal on my dA page offering 5 free warm-up sketches to the first five people to ask for one. Here's the first - the classic 60's tv show version of Robin.

Villains - Day 4: Max Dimp

Day 4: Max Dimp
Say hello to Cracker Ace's disgruntled cousin...when he lost his bid to be the better hillbilly superhero, he decided to become a villain ... the best hillbilly baddie the galaxy has ever seen!

Trailer Ports have never been the same since.

Wednesday, September 3, 2008

Villains - Day 3: Octopodicus

Day 3: Octopodicus
He's a crazy Octopus guy, with baby octopi that he hurls at his foes, which squirt acid and stuff! I'd really like to call him The Wacky Wall Walker ... in Space, but that'd just be silly.

Villains - Day 2: The Monster Cock

Day 2: The Monster Cock
A giant rooster hell bent on destruction! Get in his way, and you might find the Monster Cock in your face!

Villains - Day 1: Professor Vast Von Infinite

So today marks the first day of VILLAINS WEEK! For the next seven days I'll be posting a new baddie each day. These baddies will be meant for my future project, Cracker Ace: Hillbilly in Space, so they'll most likely carry space type themes.

Day 1: Professor Vast Von Infinite
His bad, he's bald, and he's a professor! He'll look less and less like Mr. Freeze over time, I assure you. ;)

21 & 24

More Venture Bros. fan art. Today it's The Monarch's trusted henchmen, 21 and 24.

These guys might be the greatest on screen cartoon duo since the Great Gazoo's testicles!

The Hairy Russian

I'm toying with doing a theme for my warm-ups next month: A villain a day. From the complex to the sublimely simple to the incredibly stupid, these would be villain ideas for my super space hillbilly, Cracker Ace to battle ... because what's a hero without his villains anyway?

Here's an example of what I'm talking about. I don't have an official name for him yet, so for now I'm calling him The Hairy Russian.

Dog the Dog

This is a quick sketch of my little dude, Dog the Dog. I know, I know, I've been told he looks like Odie from Garfield. Well, he's not Odie from Garfield...he's Dog the Dog!

It's a work in progress I guess.

Evil Midnight Bomber What Bombs at Midnight

Mentioned a couple days ago that I was a big fan of this cat, from "The Tick." Love his schizoid persona.

"Surfs up space ponies! I'm making gravy without the lumps!"

Kidd and the Demon Child

Here's a quick sketch of Kidd, a character of one of the coolest people I know on the net, y2jenn. Figured I'd throw a demon baby in there, because you can never have enough demon babies.

Everything Under the Sea...in a Box

It's the brand new seafood restaurant franchise, Everything Under the Sea ... in a Box!

Bein' stupid.

Cracker Ace: Hillbilly in Space

Simple line-art for my toon, Cracker Ace. Still tweaking the design, and the overall concept. Now I'm thinking, instead of just being in a trailer park, I might set the story in a trailer park in space.

Sort of like Buck Rogers meets Hee-Haw.

The Grand Galactic Inquisitor

Here's a little diddy of The Grand Galactic Inquisitor, a character from "The Venture Bros."

Like the Evil Midnight Bomber What Bombs at Midnight is to "The Tick," The Grand Galactic Inquisitor is to "The Venture Bros." A classic one-shot villain, who really isn't much of a villain, but is damn fun to watch.

Went a bit nuts with the colors here. I'll probably look to do something with this down the line, just for giggles. Maybe a shot of the GGI and the Midnight Bomber, hmm?

Stranger Danger 4

Okay, here's the last Stranger Danger update (for now). Wanted to end it with a shot of one of the main characters, Strange. Don't ask me what he is, just know what I know, which is that he's a he, with kickass chops and big ears. haha

Stranger Danger 3

Here's an early take on some of the characters from "Stranger Danger." Wound up going another direction, but I still dug this look, so I thought I'd share it.

Stranger Danger 2

Here's the second batch of character sketches. Actually, this is just one of the characters, but he's my favorite design wise by far.

Stranger Danger 1

Here's the first of three batches of character sketches for a project I'm currently working on for Torn Comics called "Stranger Danger." Unfortunately I can't talk about the characters, or of the book's plot, but the script is really funny, and I feel fortunate to be apart of it.

Panda Hero

Here's some Panda guy I drew today. Doesn't have a name yet, but I'm sure I'll come up with something that's as tacky as his outfit.

Deadpool

Here's a quick shot of Marvel's Deadpool. Nothin' fancy.

Pen Sketches

Some quick pen sketches. Clockwise: Random dude, Silverfish, Frankenstein's Monster, Pinhead, Freddy Krueger, Nosferatu.

Horror Icons

Thinking about doing some stuff for Halloween this year, so I figured I'd start getting in the proper groove with some horror movie icons. Clockwise: Pinhead (barely), Chucky, Freddy Krueger, Jason Voorhees.

Expect to see more of these guys, and their brethren in the coming days.

Freddy Krueger

Got the itch to sketch Freddy after reading today that Billy Bob Thornton is gonna take over for Robert Englund. Never saw that coming, but I think it works. Billy's naturally creepy, and if he takes it seriously, it could turn out to be a huge win for horror fans.

COSBY SWEAT-AH!

Torch

Here's a quick sketch of my character, Torch. I inked it using sharpies.

Orko

Never drawn Orko before, despite He-Man being one of my favorite cartoons. Drew this from memory, which is why I forgot his ears. Doh!

Figured I'd break out the sharpies, and color it up for giggles.

Cracker Ace

Here are some quick sketches of my character, the Heroic Hillbilly, Cracker Ace. I'm still working on his design, though I think I'm pretty much there. Just need to do some tweaks here and there. I hope to do something with him in the form of a comic book, or webcomic mini-series sometime early next year.

Keep your fingers crossed!

The Monarch

Huge fan of The Venture Bros. The Monarch is easily my favorite character on the show, so I had to draw him. Might do something with this down the line.

If you've never seen the Venture Bros. you can check it out on Adult Swim.
