Another Hellboy for day two of the everyday challenge. Just had to do it. Will probably do more, maybe even some other Hellboy characters. Woot!

Feb 09 Draw Everyday Challenge = Day 1

Hello again, my beautiful sketchblog! Oh how I've missed you. I know I've neglected you, but trust and believe when I say you've always been there with me...in the back of my mind.

To get back into the swing of things, I've decided to challenge myself to draw everyday via the annual Draw Everyday Challenge the Sketchtavern hosts every February. I've always wanted to become a regular poster over there, as well as draw something knew for folks to see on a more consistent basis...so this will help kill two birds with one stone. For my first sketch I decided to draw Hellboy. I love the character, and I love drawing him. I don't do it enough. I suspect there will be more Hellboy coming from me this month, along with some of hist friends. I've also got a rather massive list of stuff to draw compiled by all my friends over on dA, so there's no shortage of ideas or material for me this month.

After this month, I'll be opening myself up for more sketch commissions, as well as offering pretty much all of my back catalog of art pieces and sketches for sale on the cheap. I feel like I'm entering into a new phase in my artistic career, and I need to make room for new stuff. So if you've seen anything from me that you'd like for your original art collection, wall, or fridge, lemme know!

Oh, and I think I'm gonna be using this blog for more windbaggery about other stuff as well...accompanied with a sketch. So don't feel obligated to read everything I write with each post. Chances are, it's just me tootin' my own horn, yankin' my own chain, floggin' my own dolphin...and so on.

The Crow

The last of the 10 free warm-ups is here, and it's The Crow. I absolutely love the movie (not the series), and I've been wanting to read the book, but haven't gotten around to it yet.

Decided to give him an all-black pigeon for company, because why not?
